Taiwan is not "Taiwan, Province of China"

「妙子的故鄉翦影」というブログに「【三分鐘護台灣】一人一信抗議世界能源組織稱台灣為中國一省 」
というコラムがあった。
　
筆者によれば、IEA（International Energy Agency：国際エネルギー機関）のホームページにおいて
台湾が、「Taiwan, Province of China」と表記されているとのこと。
筆者はみんなでIEAに対して抗議を行おうと呼びかけていた。　

網友超宇通報，在世界能源組織各國介紹(by country)的網頁上，台灣的國名被稱為Chinese Taipei，地圖上更直接註記中國的一省，請網友一人一信向世界能源組織抗議，我們也發起一人一信，提醒我們的外交部趕快處理這件事。

　
筆者はIEAに抗議メールを送信するためのひな型までブログに記し、みんなに協力を呼びかけた。

Dear IEA,
In the following link of your website, you mistakenly list Taiwan as "Taiwan, Province of China", which indicates that Taiwan is part of China. Would you please remove "Province of China" from the list?

Taiwan is an independent country with its own government, elections, currency, army, and defined territory. Taiwan negotiates its own treaties with the United States. It is obvious that Taiwan is not part of China.
So, again, would you please remove "Province of China" from Taiwan in the by country page?

このコラムを読んだあと、IEAのHPを直接見てみた。
すると、以前は「Taiwan, Province of China」と表記されていた箇所が、すでに
「Taiwan」へ変更となっている。

　
恐らくこのような草の根活動が、台湾の未来を作っていくのであろう。
ちなみに台湾では、スターバックスのホームページにも抗議し、「Taiwan」という表記への
変更も成功している。
　
政治に対する無関心は、国を滅ぼす。
私も、日本の未来を自らが作り上げていくという気持ちで諸問題を考え、行動していきたいと思った。
